Pharmacist Examination for Canada

PEBC is the national certification Body in Canada for the profession of Pharmacist. This certification will be granted to those who successfully complete the PEBC Qualifying Examination Part-1(MCQ-Multiple Choice Question) and Part-2(OSCE- Objective Structured Clinical Examination). This council will evaluate the skill sets and abilities to practice pharmacy in a safe and effective manner.

Document Evaluation

You must pass this valuation of your educational and professional credentials to be eligible to take up the Pharmacist Evaluating Examination. Estimate documents to ensure you have a degree in Pharmacy that is up to standard to the PEBC. The minimum requirement is an undergraduate degree in pharmacy.

You will need to put forward the following credentials for valuation:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate (if necessary)
  • University Degree Certificate
  • Transcript
  • Licensing Statement
  • Document Evaluation application form

The Pharmacist Evaluating Examination

This examination is to determine whether or not you have completed a program of study equivalent to that taught in Canada.

The Pharmacist Qualifying Examination

You must pass this written assessment to be experienced for the Pharmacist Qualifying assessment.

Part I is in MCQ format.

Part II of the Qualifying Examination is a practice-based examination planned in the format known as an OSCE – objective structured clinical examination.

Studentship and Internship

You need to take Studentship and Internship in your chosen province. Most of the state requires a studentship, which is a skilled course, frequently a six month in period at the facility of pharmacy of the concern province. An internship is compulsory for all provinces, and the duration is three to 12 months. Once you complete the Studentship and Internship you are ready to work as a licensed pharmacist.
