DUBAI HEALTH AUTHORITY

Dubai Health Authority (DHA) conducts licensing exam for Healthcare Professionals with appropriate skills and qualifications to guarantee the high quality of health care services and the safety of the population in the Emirate of Dubai.

Healthcare professionals applying for licensure are required to pass DHA assessment in order to acquire professional license and practice in the Emirate of Dubai. The DHA assessment can be either Computer Based or Oral depending on the health professional’s category. Healthcare in Dubai can be divided into two different sectors: public and private. Each Emirate is able to dictate healthcare standards according to their internal laws, although the standards and regulations rarely have extreme differences.

 

HAAD

Being one of the richest Emirate in UAE, Abu Dhabi is one of the most sought after destination for healthcare professionals. Healthcare Professions have to go through one of the toughest tests in order to be eligible for work in Abu Dhabi. The Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD) is the regulative body of the Healthcare Sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and ensures excellence in Healthcare for the community by monitoring the health status of the population. On clearing the examination conducted by HAAD, the Healthcare professional is free to work in both Abu Dhabi and in Al-Ain.

MOH

All the health professionals who seek to work in UAE must appear for MOH examination and get qualified for work in UAE. Evaluation of the below categories is done in MOH Examination and separate exams conducted for the following professions.

QATAR PROMETRIC

Currently, the SCH is embarking on an ambitious program to enhance the wellness of the people of Qatar so that a vibrant, healthy, and productive society can be established for today and for the future. The essence of that program is ’Caring for the Future’.

The SCH has partnered with PROMETRIC to provide computer based medical licensing examinations to assess the competency of health practitioners seeking registration and licensure in the State of Qatar. Candidates will be able to attend for an examination at any of PROMETRIC’s 10000 test centers in 164 countries around the world

 

OMAN PROMETRIC

The OMSB is an independent body located in Muscat and may practice its functions in other premises. The OMSB is tasked with formulating proper standards and criteria for practicing and developing the health professions. The Board aims at upgrading professional performance, developing skills that enrich scientific literature, and properly apply knowledge in the various fields of health specialties.

SAUDI PROMETRIC

 All those medical professionals who want to work in Saudi Arabia, there is a necessary test to be taken and that is Saudi Licensing Exam (SLE) or Saudi Medical Board Exam. It can either be taken inside Saudi Arabia or in several countries of the world. This exam is different for different medical categories like Physicians, Dentists, Nurses, Pharmacists and other medical technical staff

The Saudi Council of Examination requires all foreign nurses to pass an online test conducted by the Prometric Examination. In the test, the nurses are given 2 hours to finish 70 questions in multiple choice formats. It is a computer-based test and the outcome of the examination is mad available immediately after the exam.

The NCLEX exam, also known as the National Council Licensure Examination, is a standardized exam that each state board of nursing uses to determine whether or not a candidate is prepared for entry-level nursing practice.
