Dubai Health Authority (DHA) conducts licensing exam for Healthcare Professionals with appropriate skills and qualifications to guarantee the high quality of health care services and the safety of the population in the Emirate of Dubai.
Healthcare professionals applying for licensure are required to pass DHA assessment in order to acquire professional license and practice in the Emirate of Dubai. The DHA assessment can be either Computer Based or Oral depending on the health professional’s category. Healthcare in Dubai can be divided into two different sectors: public and private. Each Emirate is able to dictate healthcare standards according to their internal laws, although the standards and regulations rarely have extreme differences.
Being one of the richest Emirate in UAE, Abu Dhabi is one of the most sought after destination for healthcare professionals. Healthcare Professions have to go through one of the toughest tests in order to be eligible for work in Abu Dhabi. The Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD) is the regulative body of the Healthcare Sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and ensures excellence in Healthcare for the community by monitoring the health status of the population. On clearing the examination conducted by HAAD, the Healthcare professional is free to work in both Abu Dhabi and in Al-Ain.

All those medical professionals who want to work in Saudi Arabia, there is a necessary test to be taken and that is Saudi Licensing Exam (SLE) or Saudi Medical Board Exam. It can either be taken inside Saudi Arabia or in several countries of the world. The Saudi Council of Examination requires all foreign nurses to pass an online test conducted by the Prometric Examination. In the test, the nurses are given 2 hours to finish 70 questions in multiple choice formats.
